School Academic workshops a hit for O- & A-Level students

ELT Central paraphrasing workshop by Andy Pacino at Pristine School, Dubai

PLANNING for university is a daunting task for any student. Academic workshops are a great way of introducing O- and A-Level students to the kind of task they’ll face once they go into tertiary education.

Many new students don’t fully understand the importance of the technical skills they will need when they get to uni, and as some pupils find it quite daunting they can end up struggling with the workload.

The workshops ELT Central provide can help in many ways to make sure they don’t fall into some of the traps other students do. There are lots of ways we can help: we can guide them into which university would suit them best and why, we can give pricing structures and even help negotiate scholarships.

Workshops and presentations range from the initial entry into uni and how to manage time properly to all the aspects of academic learning like essay writing, forming a thesis statement, paraphrasing and referencing to avoid plagiarism and plenty more besides. Plenty of students have attended previous sessions, that have helped them get through vital assignments and achieve higher grades at uni.

The sessions have also helped pupils gain higher grades in school too, and dozens of former attendees have earned better grades than their peers due to the benefits my sessions bring to the table.

It’s a winning formula.
