Higher education insights from Teaching and Learning experts
By Andy Pacino
THE day we stop learning is the day we ought to give up teaching. For teachers to be the best we can be, we too have to learn, and this is something I am passionate about. I recently took on a Masters in Education degree because I wanted to be the best I can be and see exactly how it feels to be a student again. The more we know, the better teachers we can be, and me getting on the other side of the desk will help me when I teach teachers. There was no real need for me to do so, however, this is the level I am prepared to go in order to deliver the highest standard of teaching.
With two decades of experience in teaching, and being the former Teaching and Learning Coordinator and manager of many programmes our founder is in a perfect position to understand what the best teachers bring to the table. When he delivers professional development workshops, the teachers who attend are those who will go back into class and give their best to their students and pupils. They are the educators who care about being better for the sake of their teaching and the learners trusting them with their education.
