Moving out of the Dark is a book that investigates the effects that suicide has on a the families of those who attempt or succeed in taking their own lives. Author, Andy Pacino, interviewed a number of people who have been affected either by a family suicide, or have attempted to take their own lives. The book came bout die to the amount of negative posts Andy saw from students on his social media accounts, and he wanted to understand why so many youngsters seemed so depressed. Along with the book, Andy conducted a series of interviews with a number of renowned psychologists who are involved with youths and students, and who work full time counselling youngsters who suffer from depression, anxiety, many of whom self harm, and have negative thoughts on their lives and the direction their lives have taken. The clear message from the book is that suicide wrecks families, more often than not there were people the victims of suicide could have spoken to, and that there is plenty of help out there, though it isn’t always obvious the person suffering from depression realises their own predicament.

Andy Pacino's latest book, moving out of the dark, is about the effects that suicide has on families that are left with the aftermath of a self killing.
